'Running' was the first complete album to be recorded in Jules and Chris's Mint Music recording studio.

The album's songs are largely characterised by Jules's now trademark acoustic guitar/piano combination, with simple productions, the hope being that the songs speak for themselves.

Jules had to borrow most of the money for the cover shot, but the passport was his.

'Running from the Scene of the Crime' featured Carl Lewis on Drums. There were also guest appearances from Tommy Pope (track 10), Emma Webber (tracks 4 & 10, and from J.M.Howden, Adrian Mealing and Will Tooby of 'The Big Hum' (track 12).
